AppSec Engineer I

About this role

LivePerson is seeking an AppSec Engineer I to enhance application security tools and manage security testing for their platforms. The role involves validating vulnerabilities, conducting penetration tests, and collaborating with teams to mitigate security risks effectively.

What you'll do

• Manage and enhance application security tools and integrations
• Validate discovered vulnerabilities and external penetration test results
• Perform security penetration tests for applications and infrastructure
• Produce detailed reports supporting data-based decisions
• Assist in creating and updating application security procedures and policies
• Train and mentor team members and other departments

• Understanding of software security architecture
• Experience in AppSec testing techniques
• Manual testing experience
• Solid understanding of cloud environments
• Knowledge of Shell, Java, Python, or Node.js
• Experience with automation and exploitation scripts
• Strong communication skills
