Java Backend Engineer

About this role

LivePerson is seeking a Java Backend Engineer to work on high-performance backend systems and RESTful APIs in a fully remote role. The position involves troubleshooting production issues and enhancing existing services while collaborating with the Bots & Automation team.

What you'll do

• Design and develop high-volume applications
• Develop REST-based backend services
• Debug production issues
• Maintain existing codebases
• Create technical documentation
• Participate in on-call rotations

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of production software development experience
• Strong knowledge of Java Spring Boot
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with data processing tools like Kafka and Apache Spark
• Expertise in building REST APIs
• Experience with Git and Jenkins
• Knowledge of Kubernetes a plus
