Application Security Engineer

About this role

LVT is seeking an Application Security Engineer to enhance their AI-driven technology by integrating robust security practices throughout their Software Development Lifecycle. This role will involve collaborating with engineering teams to establish a proactive security culture while ensuring the resilience of their platform.

What you'll do

• Integrate high-standard security practices into the SDLC
• Develop manual and automated security processes
• Lead threat modeling and penetration testing initiatives
• Manage vulnerability scanning tools and remediation processes
• Assist in creating and improving secure development policies
• Mentor junior team members on security best practices

What they're looking for

• 2+ years in Information Security
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms
• Knowledge of web languages/frameworks (HTML, PHP, Node.js)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Docker)
• Understanding of application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
• Grasp of IT fundamentals (operating systems, networking)
• Familiarity with security frameworks (CIS, NIST)
• Strong communication skills
