Security Platform Engineer

About this role

Lumin Digital seeks a Security Platform Engineer to build and operate resilient security infrastructure for a cloud-based banking platform. You'll combine reliability engineering with AI-assisted development tools to automate security operations, manage telemetry systems, and scale security across hundreds of AWS environments while reducing on-call burden.

What you'll do

• Build and operate security fabric, telemetry, logging, and observability infrastructure across hundreds of environments
• Design and implement GitOps-based deployment workflows (ArgoCD, Kustomize) for security infrastructure across multiple AWS accounts and regions
• Develop and maintain agentic AI workflows using Claude Code and MCP integrations to automate security platform tasks and infrastructure reviews
• Secure and operate Kubernetes workloads in EKS with RBAC, network policies, and deployment safeguards
• Participate in on-call rotation for security infrastructure, documenting resolutions and improving system reliability
• Collaborate with security and SRE teams to align infrastructure decisions and support incident response

• Kubernetes and EKS administration and security
• Python application development and infrastructure automation
• GitOps patterns and deployment tooling (ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Kustomize)
• Security telemetry platforms (OpenSearch or similar)
• AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini)
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
