Vulnerability Automation Engineer

About this role

Lumin Digital seeks a Vulnerability Automation Engineer to design and operate end-to-end pipelines that automatically discover assets, assess vulnerabilities, and execute remediation across cloud-native environments—eliminating manual ticketing workflows. Using AI-assisted tools and infrastructure-as-code, you'll build autonomous systems that resolve security issues before human intervention is needed.

What you'll do

• Design and implement fully automated vulnerability discovery, assessment, and remediation pipelines without manual coordination
• Build agentic AI workflows using Claude Code and MCP integrations for security automation tasks across cloud environments
• Develop automated asset discovery systems maintaining real-time inventory of infrastructure, containers, and ephemeral workloads
• Create configuration hardening pipelines enforcing security baselines with drift detection and auto-remediation
• Integrate vulnerability scanners and threat intelligence feeds into unified platforms with intelligent prioritization
• Build self-service remediation tooling and dashboards enabling teams to resolve security findings autonomously

• CI/CD pipeline integration and DevSecOps
• Cloud security APIs (AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub)
