About this role
Lumos seeks an OSP Construction Project Engineer to oversee fiber network expansion in the Waco, TX market. You'll manage multiple construction projects from inception through closeout, coordinate with contractors and cross-functional teams, and ensure work meets safety, quality, and schedule standards while resolving field challenges.
What you'll do
- Oversee multiple OSP fiber construction projects from readiness through closeout
- Set expectations for contractors and subcontractors; hold teams accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and budget
- Inspect active jobsites to ensure compliance with OSHA, NESC, and construction standards
- Track production, costs, risks, and schedules; communicate updates to stakeholders
- Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, and municipal dependencies to keep projects on track
- Resolve field roadblocks and community concerns with sound judgment and professionalism
