About this role
Lyft is seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain a highly scalable asynchronous platform using Infrastructure as Code practices. You'll design systems that improve reliability and efficiency while balancing feature velocity with service-level objectives in a collaborative, on-call environment.
What you'll do
- Monitor and analyze metrics from OS, control planes, and applications for fault detection and performance optimization
- Design and deploy tooling that enhances platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Operate and improve infrastructure using industry best practices and automation
- Balance feature development speed with reliability and SLO targets
- Participate in design reviews, production readiness assessments, and capacity planning with cross-functional teams
- Respond to incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and support teams during customer-impacting events
