Soft Structures Engineer

Mach Industries is seeking a Soft Structures Engineer to design and develop lighter-than-air platforms integral to their autonomous defense systems. The role involves hands-on work with materials and systems, focusing on creating flight-ready hardware from concept to deployment.

What you'll do

• Design balloon envelopes, including geometry and materials
• Analyze pressurized and unpressurized systems for stress and failure
• Design for manufacturability with consideration for production constraints
• Develop and execute test campaigns to validate models
• Collaborate with teams on integrating systems into vehicles
• Create internal tools for simulation and performance prediction
