About this role
Mach Industries is looking for a Vehicle Configuration Design Engineer to lead the design of next-generation unmanned aerial systems. This role requires technical proficiency, collaboration across disciplines, and the ability to develop airframes from initial concepts to flight-ready prototypes.
What you'll do
- Design and develop UAS vehicle configurations at conceptual and preliminary stages
- Create CAD models and engineering drawings for overall vehicle configuration
- Conduct cross-disciplinary trade studies to optimize performance and manufacturability
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to assess design changes
- Present findings on trade studies and design solutions to stakeholders
What they're looking for
- 3+ years in aerospace systems design, particularly UAS
- Experience with trade studies and stakeholder presentations
- Proficiency in CAD software (NX, CATIA, etc.)
- Strong surfacing skills
- Familiarity with DFM and structural design
