About this role
Mariana Minerals is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer (Hardware) to develop the electromechanical systems that enable fully autonomous mining vehicles. The role involves designing actuation and robotic mechanisms, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovations in mineral sourcing technology.
What you'll do
- Design and integrate actuation hardware for autonomous mining vehicles
- Develop robotic mechanisms and automation hardware for unmanned operations
- Produce detailed CAD models and drawings for fabrication
- Select and qualify components for actuation and motion systems
- Lead testing of subsystems and drive reliability improvements
- Collaborate with software engineers for complete vehicle integration
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Robotics, or related field
- 5-10+ years of experience in electromechanical or robotic systems design
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software
- Experience with actuation and motion systems
- Knowledge of design-for-manufacture/assembly
- Experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics preferred
