About this role
Mariana Minerals seeks a Senior Process Engineer to bridge R&D and operations, leading the development and scale-up of chemical processes from lab to production with emphasis on metal recovery optimization and cost reduction. You'll drive process design, risk mitigation, and manufacturing readiness while mentoring technical teams in a fast-paced, vertically integrated minerals company.
What you'll do
- Lead lab-to-pilot-to-production scale-up of chemical processes with focus on metal recovery and cost/environmental impact reduction
- Identify process risks and evaluate mitigation solutions through detailed simulations and modeling
- Develop standard operating procedures, process flow documentation, and quality/safety standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve equipment and product performance
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior scientists and engineers
- Guide R&D teams in experiment design and execution to support chemical process development
