About this role

Senior Instructor, Technology & Analytics – Mariner Academy

Position Summary

The Senior Instructor, Technology & Analytics, ensures Mariner Academy’s advisors are equipped to leverage AI, advanced technology, and data analytics to enhance—not replace—the advisor-client relationship, preparing our enterprise for the evolving landscape of wealth management. As the Academy’s dedicated bridge between Innovation, IT, and our financial professionals, this role fosters technology adoption, data literacy, and operational excellence.

You will track the rapidly changing tech landscape, collaborating with IT and Innovation to monitor tools, updates, and protocols, and transform this knowledge into actionable, monthly learning integrated into each certification cohort’s regular meetings—eliminating the need for separate training. You will own the Academy’s analytics function: administering operational data, attendance, course completion, assessments, and flagging advisors not meeting minimum standards.

Working closely with business units, Innovation, IT, and Compliance, you will ensure our training reflects the most current tools and requirements, and will clearly communicate key analytics to Mariner Academy leadership. The strategic value of this role is a highly tech-fluent advisor population and a single source of truth for Academy performance data that supports personalized development and accountability across the enterprise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT, Innovation, and other stakeholders to maintain expert-level knowledge of AI and technology developments relevant to wealth management and advisor practice.

  • Translate emerging technological advancements into practical, monthly learning opportunities delivered within each cohort's existing check-in meetings.

  • Design and deliver a rotating curriculum covering AI in wealth management, productivity tools, technology-enabled advice, digital client experiences, automation, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Facilitate live demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and group discussions to build practical technology fluency during monthly cohort meetings.

  • Administer and maintain operational data, tracking, and reporting infrastructure for Mariner Academy, including attendance, completion, and assessment performance.

  • Track technology and tool utilization at both individual and cohort levels, sharing data transparently to motivate adoption and highlight best practices.

  • Proactively flag individuals not meeting utilization, competency, or performance standards and support tailored development plans.

  • Clearly communicate analytics and reporting insights to Mariner Academy leadership and program managers.

  • Partner with business units, Innovation, IT, and Compliance to ensure all training reflects current tools, protocols, and regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technology and AI tools for integration into advisor practice and curriculum.

  • Build and maintain reporting infrastructure connecting the learning management system with enterprise reporting platforms.

  • Champion a human-centered, technology-empowered philosophy across all training and communication initiatives.
