About this role
Matterworks is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain the data pipelines that power their AI models and products. You will own the full lifecycle of pipelines, from design and testing to operation and monitoring, ensuring data quality and reliability. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for growth within a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
What you'll do
- Build and operate data pipelines end-to-end.
- Transform raw data into usable datasets with consistent schemas and metadata.
- Design and implement data quality checks.
- Ingest and integrate new public and partner datasets.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and improve data handling systems.
- Collaborate with machine learning researchers, scientists, and product teams.
