Hardware Systems Engineer

About this role

MatX is looking for an experienced Hardware System Electrical Engineer to join their team focused on developing advanced silicon solutions for AGI platforms. The role involves designing and validating AI compute boards, ensuring performance and reliability in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

• Design and validate AI compute boards and interconnects
• Create specifications and schematic designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Bring up boards and troubleshoot hardware issues
• Support platform and manufacturing tests
• Work with JDM on design execution

What they're looking for

• 10+ years in system-level development
• Proficient in DC/DC PoL and multi-phase VRM designs
• Experience with high-speed Ethernet and interfaces
• Familiarity with critical components selection
• Hands-on experience with schematic capture tools
• Proficient with lab equipment for validation testing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with OCP ORV3, HPR, and IEC standards
