Project Engineer - Hydraulic Design

McAdams is looking for a Project Engineer specializing in Hydraulic Design to support transportation projects through hydrology, hydraulic design, and related analysis. The role involves managing project schedules, ensuring quality deliverables, and collaborating with various service lines and clients.

What you'll do

• Deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
• Design and oversee production of project plans and specifications
• Coordinate with internal teams and manage subconsultants
• Conduct field reviews and support project alignment
• Advance projects through analysis, design, permitting, and bidding
• Supervise and mentor junior staff

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• North Carolina PE license or ability to obtain
• 5+ years of hydraulic engineering experience
• Knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD
• Technical proficiency in hydraulic analyses and drainage design
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Interest in multimodal transportation design
