McAdams is looking for a Project Engineer specializing in Hydraulic Design to contribute to various transportation projects, focusing on drainage elements for public and private clients. The role involves designing hydraulic systems, conducting analysis, and managing project quality to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll do
- Deliver projects on-time and within budget
- Design and oversee production of project plans and specifications
- Coordinate with other service lines and manage subconsultants
- Conduct field reviews for project alignment
- Assist in project advancement from feasibility to bidding
- Mentor junior staff and participate in business development
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Biological Engineering
- North Carolina PE license (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years in hydraulics or water resource engineering
- Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- Strong critical thinking and time management skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of AASHTO and NCDOT standards
