Mercor is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their product-focused engineering team in San Francisco. This role involves designing and developing modern backend systems that enhance critical workflows for leading AI companies.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable backend APIs and infrastructure
• Collaborate with product and design for rapid feature deployment
• Write clean, maintainable code and help with documentation
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Resolve real-world customer issues
• Contribute to core systems supporting AI labs

• Proficiency in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Rust)
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
