Emerge to the Top of Your Career
At MERGE, we strive to create a superior work experience where talented and ambitious people grow. An experience that encourages people to think higher and feel deeper. An experience where people engage their minds and hearts to do the best work of their careers.
As our VP, Analytics (Life Sciences), you will…
Lead a high-impact portfolio of life sciences measurement and analytics work while continuously innovating the standard for our practice. You will turn measurement strategy into credible evidence of marketing impact, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor the Applied Intelligence team to grow their skills and advance our offering. This is an exciting opportunity to solve complex problems alongside talented colleagues, shaping how life sciences marketing is measured through a blend of agility, analytical ability, and humble leadership.
What You’ll Do
Portfolio & Team Leadership
- Drive Portfolio Operations: Set clear priorities across accounts, resolve delivery and resourcing conflicts, and proactively manage risks before they escalate.
- Lead & Mentor with Humility: Build high-performing, self-directed teams, develop future leaders, and foster a supportive environment that ensures consistently elevated work across all clients.
- Maintain High Standards: Establish standards for measurement plans, KPI definitions, testing agendas, tagging and data quality, dashboard QA, and issue resolution.
- Adapt & Scale Capabilities: Keep the portfolio structured for seamless delivery as client needs evolve, aligning the right talent to the work and identifying new areas where analytics can add value.
Client Advisory & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Advise Senior Clients: Translate complex evidence into clear, commercially grounded insights, clarifying what the data means for client businesses and recommending practical next steps.
- Unite Agency Disciplines: Partner closely with Account, Creative, Media, Strategy, and Technology teams to connect integrated programs to brand, HCP, and patient outcomes, using channel performance to guide ongoing optimization.
- Elevate Reporting Quality: Ensure teams turn performance and outcomes data into actionable recommendations that directly inform client investment decisions.
Data Strategy, Privacy & AI Innovation
- Navigate Complex Data Ecosystems: Collaborate on data, platform, and vendor decisions that strengthen HCP and patient measurement while staying ahead of privacy, consent, MLR, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Champion AI & Modern Workflows: Apply AI and automation to modernize analytics workflows, bringing clarity and speed to complex measurement environments.
- Drive Business Development: Lead the analytics strategy in major pitch pursuits and RFPs while shaping strategic partnerships that expand our capabilities.
Who You Are
- Experienced Analytics Leader: You bring 12+ years of agency or client-side measurement and analytics experience, with a proven track record of managing complex portfolios, client relationships, and high-performing teams.
- Life Sciences Expert: You possess deep experience across HCP and patient/DTC marketing, ideally supported by exposure to payer or provider dynamics.
- Tech & Platform Fluent: You are well-versed in media, CRM, web analytics, HCP identity, claims and patient data, and BI tools. You can evaluate a client’s data maturity and partner with technical teams to shape practical vendor and platform solutions.
- Master of Measurement & AI: You bring deep expertise in cross-channel measurement, incrementality, testing agendas, and attribution, paired with hands-on experience applying AI and automation to analytics workflows.
- Agile Communicator: You translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging stories that align internal stakeholders and influence senior decision-makers.
- Humble Collaborator: You lead with a strong growth mindset, leaving ego at the door to build self-directed teams, adapt quickly to changing needs, and deliver exceptional work together.
- Educated & Curious: You hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics) or equivalent work experience, with an advanced degree preferred.
