About this role
Mixpanel seeks a Customer Engineer to lead pre-sales technical engagements, owning discovery, demo design, and proof-of-concept execution for prospects. This role bridges the gap between sales and delivery, ensuring technical fit assessment and clear handoff to post-sale teams while driving competitive positioning against analytics alternatives.
What you'll do
- Conduct technical discovery to qualify prospects' business challenges, stack, and POC readiness
- Design and deliver tailored demos connecting Mixpanel capabilities to prospect business outcomes
- Establish technical fit and scope meaningful proofs before POCs begin
- Own competitive positioning against Amplitude, PostHog, and warehouse-native solutions
- Run structured POCs with defined success criteria, focus metrics, and handoff packages for Delivery Engineers
- Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy and expansion technical evaluations
