About this role
ModernFi is seeking a founding Platform Engineer to build and own the core infrastructure supporting their rapidly growing fintech platform. This role requires a hands-on leader to define and implement best practices across reliability, security, and release pipelines, while partnering closely with product engineering teams. You'll be instrumental in ensuring ModernFi can securely and reliably serve thousands of financial institutions.
What you'll do
- Improve platform reliability through observability and incident response.
- Build and manage advanced release pipelines with feature flags and release gates.
- Own and evolve the cloud platform (AWS, Pulumi) and related tooling.
- Drive security and compliance initiatives (SOC 1/2, Vanta).
- Enhance on-call practices and tooling.
- Collaborate with product teams to identify and address platform bottlenecks.
