Software Engineer - Infrastructure

About this role

Modern Treasury is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance their infrastructure for money movement, focusing on both traditional and emerging payment technologies. This hands-on role involves significant ownership of system architecture, platform automation, and guiding teams toward scalable solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture for AWS infrastructure and container orchestration
• Standardize automation and infrastructure-as-code for high-volume platforms
• Reduce operational overhead through improved tooling and workflows
• Optimize performance and reliability of infrastructure systems
• Define service ownership and align teams on scalable architecture
• Contribute to security and infrastructure strategy for new payment rails

What they're looking for

• 8+ years in DevOps or infrastructure engineering
• Experience with AWS at scale
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• CI/CD systems and automation pipelines
• Containerized environments (Docker)
• Observability and performance tuning
• Application and product security
• Understanding of payment rail mechanics
