Software Engineer 3, Atlas Vector Search

The Software Engineer 3 position on the Vector Search team at MongoDB involves developing a vector database and enhancing the $vectorSearch aggregation feature. What you'll do

• Implement features for MongoDB's $search and $vectorSearch operators
• Collaborate with Product teams on query and index syntax
• Identify performance bottlenecks in search queries
• Lead projects and manage subsystems
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers

• 3+ years in large-scale backend development
• Proficiency in Java or another JVM language
