About this role
MongoDB is seeking a Technical Services Engineer for weekend shifts to provide expert-level support to enterprise customers on database architecture, performance, and operations. This remote role (East Coast preferred) combines deep technical troubleshooting across the MongoDB ecosystem with customer advocacy, offering a 20% salary uplift for the Saturday-Wednesday schedule.
What you'll do
- Resolve complex customer issues spanning MongoDB architecture, performance tuning, recovery, and security
- Troubleshoot infrastructure problems from application tier through database to storage layer
- Mentor and ramp new team members while building knowledge of emerging MongoDB products
- Advocate for customer needs to product management and development teams
- Contribute to internal software development of support tools for diagnostics and benchmarking
- Provide expert guidance on running MongoDB at scale with standard methodologies

- Storage engineering (NAS, SAN, SSD, caching, multi-pathing)
- Database systems design and production troubleshooting
