Software Engineer, Customer Solutions
About this role
Muon Space seeks a Software Engineer to be the technical bridge between the company and external payload partners integrating with its satellite software platform. You'll guide customers through SDK adoption, design reviews, and orbital testing while collaborating across engineering teams to evolve payload interfaces and documentation.
What you'll do
- Own the integration experience for external payload partners, covering commanding, telemetry, payload management, and data downlink
- Run customer-facing technical exchanges, design reviews, and integration test campaigns as the named software point of contact
- Author and maintain customer developer guides, sample code, and reference applications for the Payload SDK
- Partner with Flight Software, Mission Engineering, and Systems teams to influence payload interface design
- Track metrics for integration cycle time and customer-blocking issues; manage OKRs for your area
- Maintain epics, estimate work, and escalate roadmap changes or delays early
