Software Engineer, Ground Software

Muon Space is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to enhance their Ground Software team, focusing on building cloud infrastructure and mission planning tools for satellite communications. The successful candidate will manage software through its full lifecycle, from development to production, creating systems that provide critical insights into Earth’s complex systems.

What you'll do

• Develop a Mission Planning & Control System in the cloud
• Design cloud architecture and choose technology stack
• Manage cloud application deployment infrastructure
• Integrate spacecraft data with cloud systems
• Build APIs for remote ground station networks
• Architect systems for low latency and fault tolerance

• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to design clean APIs
• Proficiency in CI/CD processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Linux fundamentals
• Understanding of IT security practices
