About this role
Muon is looking for a Systems Engineer to enhance mission success and performance within its Mission Engineering team. The role focuses on ensuring reliable spacecraft production and operational outcomes by integrating rigorous verification processes while balancing business needs and technical challenges.
What you'll do
- Drive architectural decisions to scale spacecraft production and mission operations.
- Partner with Mission Systems Engineers for V&V compliance and test coverage.
- Streamline workflows by addressing V&V bottlenecks.
- Analyze telemetry to maximize asset utility and performance.
- Ensure on-orbit performance aligns with pre-flight models.
- Support internal tooling roadmaps with strong software skills.
What they're looking for
- M.S. or higher in engineering
- 8+ years in multi-disciplinary environments
- Experience in AI&T workflows
- Strong software skills (Python, Julia)
- Understanding of spacecraft autonomy
- Business acumen related to system resilience
- Excellent communication
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
