About this role
Neros is looking for a CODEC Video Compression Engineer/Developer to design and implement advanced low-latency video compression algorithms for real-time applications. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance video quality and efficiency in wireless transmission for drone systems.
What you'll do
- Design dual CPU/GPU hybrid video compression encoder architecture
- Develop and optimize video compression algorithms in C/C++ or similar languages
- Implement and optimize encoder/decoder pipelines for real-time use
- Conduct performance benchmarking and quality assurance testing
- Collaborate with hardware/software teams for integration of CODEC solutions
- Stay updated on emerging video standards and industry trends
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
- Understanding of video compression theory and standards
- Codec implementation experience
- Experience with hardware implementations (FPGAs, ASICs)
- Proficiency in C/C++ and SIMD optimizations
- Multithreading and performance profiling experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of backend development (FFmpeg, GStreamer) [optional]
