Neuralink is seeking a Firmware Engineer Intern to support the development of embedded software for robotic surgical applications. The intern will work within a collaborative team to innovate and refine software systems, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency in enabling brain-machine interfaces.

What you'll do

  • Develop and optimize embedded software for robotics
  • Refine and retire legacy embedded software
  • Test and validate software for safety and reliability
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Write drivers and applications for robotics
  • Specify hardware and software for future platforms

  • Experience in software development
  • Knowledge of embedded systems
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C)
  • Proficient in C, C++, or Rust
  • Experience with embedded Linux platforms
  • Understanding of MCU architectures
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience in high-speed data acquisition
