About this role
Nimble is seeking a HIL Test/Automation Engineer to build and maintain automated testing frameworks for their autonomous robots. This role will focus on ensuring the fast, reliable, and continuous validation of hardware and firmware through HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing, while also partnering with other teams to improve simulation models and optimize physical testing procedures. The ideal candidate will be passionate about robotics and enjoy a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain the HIL test environment, integrating hardware and simulated dynamics.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks, reporting dashboards, and CI pipelines.
- Expand self-tests and improve data pipelines for regression and smoke tests.
- Integrate DAQ and bus tracing tools for hardware and firmware diagnostics.
- Collaborate with software and health teams to enhance simulation models.
- Lead physical pick/pack testing, evaluating SKU pickability and placement accuracy.
