About this role
Northwood Space seeks an RF Hardware Engineer to design and optimize radio frequency electronics for satellite ground station systems. You'll develop amplifiers, filters, and integrated RF solutions while collaborating across engineering disciplines to deliver reliable communications infrastructure with global impact.
What you'll do
- Design RF electronics hardware including amplifiers, filters, and support circuitry for next-generation products
- Create electromagnetic simulation models to evaluate performance of RF components and PCB layouts
- Build and characterize RF circuits such as LNAs, filters, and power amplifiers
- Optimize existing hardware for reliability, performance, and manufacturability
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to troubleshoot integrated RF system performance
- Iterate on designs based on RF performance tradeoffs affecting overall ground network architecture
