Forward Deployed Engineer, GTM

About this role

Notion seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead end-to-end customer engineering projects, including large-scale migrations, third-party integrations, and AI agent deployments. You'll embed with enterprise customers to design and build production-grade solutions while shaping best practices for supporting complex technical needs at scale.

What you'll do

• Lead hands-on technical delivery of customer engagements from discovery through implementation
• Design, build, and operate custom agents, integrations, automations, and data pipelines connecting Notion to customer systems
• Execute large-scale content and data migrations including scoping, modeling, transformation, and validation
• Act as trusted technical advisor helping customers make informed architectural decisions
• Establish feedback loops between customer implementations and Notion's Product and Engineering teams
• Develop discovery frameworks, technical standards, and internal tooling for scalable services delivery

What they're looking for

• 4+ years customer-facing or forward deployed engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, Node.js, or SQL
• API design and data integration
• Written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders
• SaaS or enterprise software background
• AI agent deployment experience
• Product roadmap collaboration
• Technical discovery and scoping
