About this role
Notion seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead end-to-end customer engineering projects, including large-scale migrations, third-party integrations, and AI agent deployments. You'll embed with enterprise customers to design and build production-grade solutions while shaping best practices for supporting complex technical needs at scale.
What you'll do
- Lead hands-on technical delivery of customer engagements from discovery through implementation
- Design, build, and operate custom agents, integrations, automations, and data pipelines connecting Notion to customer systems
- Execute large-scale content and data migrations including scoping, modeling, transformation, and validation
- Act as trusted technical advisor helping customers make informed architectural decisions
- Establish feedback loops between customer implementations and Notion's Product and Engineering teams
- Develop discovery frameworks, technical standards, and internal tooling for scalable services delivery

- 4+ years customer-facing or forward deployed engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, Node.js, or SQL
- API design and data integration
- Written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders
- SaaS or enterprise software background
- AI agent deployment experience
