Software Engineer Intern (Fall 2026)

About this role

Join Notion's inaugural engineering internship class as a Software Engineer Intern and spend 12 weeks building AI-native features that impact millions of users. You'll work in the San Francisco office from September to December, paired with a mentor, contributing to a collaborative workspace platform trusted by individuals and enterprises worldwide.

What you'll do

• Write clean, secure, tested, and documented code across the full stack
• Design and enhance Notion's product with AI-first capabilities
• Develop, fix, and debug software for web services, databases, and applications
• Collaborate with engineering teams on meaningful projects shipping to customers
• Discover and solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, or Python
• Experience with or enthusiasm for AI technologies (LLMs, embeddings, ML)
• Problem-solving and decomposition abilities
• User-centric thinking and product mindset
• Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Experience with React (nice to have)
• Previous internship experience
