Software Engineer, New Grad

About this role

Notion is seeking new graduate software engineers to join their collaborative AI workspace platform in San Francisco. You'll develop core features used by millions, working across full-stack challenges from conception through launch while growing your technical skills alongside experienced mentors.

What you'll do

• Design and build new product features from conception through implementation and maintenance
• Improve system performance, reliability, and polish existing functionality
• Instrument onboarding flows and drive user adoption through data-driven iteration
• Collaborate with design, product, and data teams to shape product direction
• Build internal tools and scripts to support team productivity
• Own projects end-to-end with increasing autonomy and technical decision-making

What they're looking for

• TypeScript, Node.js, or Python proficiency
• Web application development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
• Backend systems understanding and database knowledge (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Impact-driven problem-solving and decomposition skills
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Initiative and ownership in driving projects forward
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
• Full-stack development perspective
