Software Engineer, Routing

Nuro is seeking a Software Engineer for their Routing Team to develop and enhance services that ensure safe and efficient navigation for autonomous vehicles. The role involves backend system design, algorithm optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve user experiences and product strategies.

What you'll do

• Design and scale backend systems and onboard modules
• Optimize routing algorithms for efficiency
• Manage road network graphs and monitoring infrastructure
• Collaborate with product, strategy, and operations teams
• Define product strategy and roadmap

What they're looking for

• Proficient in C++
• Experience with real-time server-side applications
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Knowledge of RPC frameworks (gRPC, Thrift)
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in ML model training and inferencing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
