About the Position
As the Development Program Manager, you will play a key role in advancing our mission by overseeing key programs and projects that support the philanthropic goals of the Schools and Programs (S&P) fundraising team. You will be collaborating closely with development officers, the Development Support Supervisor, the Assistant Vice President (AVP), and the Advancement Data Strategy team.
What You'll Be Doing
Program and Project Management
- You will partner with development officers in their fundraising units to plan and execute donor strategy, including engagement, cultivation, and stewardship plans for major and principal gift prospects.
- You will lead program support for emerging fundraising opportunities, including mapping faculty and donor relationships, identifying prospects, and supporting the development of fundraising cases.
- You will oversee councils and volunteer groups within assigned units, including meeting planning, communications, and member engagement.
- You will plan and coordinate unit-specific donor events in collaboration with special events and fundraising leads.
Team-Wide Support
- You will produce regular team-wide reports on pipeline, portfolio activity, proposals, and gift progress for the Assistant Vice President (AVP) and development officers, in partnership with Advancement Data Strategy.
- You will prepare data and analysis for portfolio reviews, prospect strategy sessions, and annual planning in partnership with Advancement Data Strategy.
- You will provide data for team-wide projects, including endowment reporting, in coordination with the Development Support Supervisor.
Department Support and Special Projects
- You will partner closely with other support team members to proactively plan and address support needs for the fundraising team and enhance processes and procedures to work collaboratively and efficiently.
- You will serve as liaison and relationship builder to OHSU departments within the fundraising units of the team.

- Your strong project/program management and organizational skills give you the ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
- Your demonstrated interpersonal skills give you the ability to collaborate professionally, diplomatically and productively with contacts at all levels, including faculty, council members, donors, and other OHSU and Foundation colleagues.
- You're compassionate and culturally responsive, with the ability to work well with internal and external individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
- Your analytical skills give you the ability to analyze and present data.
- Your excellent verbal and written communication skills give you the ability to communicate with contacts at all levels.
You should have
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, including project or program management
- Experience working with a CRM, such as Salesforce
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
- Experience working in a nonprofit, higher education, or fundraising environment preferred

Pay
Salary is dependent on experience. Each salary band is broken into three "steps," which correspond with an employee’s experience/tenure, proficiency and performance in that specific role. New employees will typically start at step I of our pay band to allow for later growth, although more experienced candidates may be eligible to start at step II or III. The OHSU Foundation has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.
