About this role
Oklo is seeking a Process Engineer for its Fuel Recycling engineering team, focused on developing and validating chemical separation subsystems. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimize system performance.
What you'll do
- Develop systems to meet facility and regulatory standards
- Define system and process requirements and validation methods
- Establish performance criteria, test protocols, and prototype equipment
- Deploy and operate test systems for system refinement
- Create process flow sheets and balance data using simulation tools
- Generate technical documentation for fabrication and regulatory filings
What they're looking for
- Degree in chemical engineering or related field
- 7+ years of chemical engineering experience
- Experience with AspenTech, ChemCAD, Promax
- Knowledge of automation and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with pilot plants and scaling processes
- Experience in the nuclear industry (commercial/government)
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
