Test Process Equipment Engineer
About this role
Oklo seeks a Test Process Equipment Engineer to design, specify, and support advanced nuclear test platforms throughout their lifecycle in Idaho Falls. You'll handle equipment selection, engineering analysis, documentation, and test operations while working hands-on in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll do
- Size, select, and specify process equipment including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, tanks, pressure vessels, and piping components based on test requirements
- Perform engineering calculations for fluid flow, pressure drop, heat transfer, equipment capacity, and system sizing
- Develop and review piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and fabrication drawings
- Support test readiness reviews, startup, operation, monitoring, and post-test activities
- Review fabrication work and troubleshoot operating systems to ensure proper equipment function
- Manage equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and system improvements throughout test-platform lifecycle
