About this role
Build user-facing interfaces for autonomous AI agents at Okta, owning the full experience from chat interactions to memory management and approval flows. This senior individual contributor role focuses on creating novel agentic UI patterns for long-running agent sessions with real-time updates and human oversight.
What you'll do
- Build conversational interfaces for agents with streaming responses, tool visualization, pause controls, and mid-task steering
- Design memory management UIs allowing users to inspect, edit, and understand agent context and knowledge
- Create live agent run views displaying plans, steps, artifacts, and retries in real time via WebSockets or server-sent events
- Build human-in-the-loop approval surfaces with clear diffs for agent actions writing to external systems
- Manage complex client state for long-running sessions including reconnection, optimistic updates, and failure recovery
- Develop a reusable component library for agentic patterns ensuring consistency across worker deployments
