  • Direct fleet asset management and performance, including vehicle utilization, maintenance, repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance programs, fleet reliability initiatives, fuel tax reporting, fleet records, performance reporting, capital replacement planning, vendor and service provider management, and monitoring key operational, safety, compliance, and reliability metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Compliance, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to mitigate risk, lead transportation incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, remove operational barriers, support business continuity, identify improvement opportunities, and execute special projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience leading DOT-regulated drivers, fleet operations, transportation scheduling, or related transportation functions.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance requirements, including Driver Qualification Files (DQFs), Hours of Service (HOS), CSA performance measures, licensing requirements, and safety programs.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, performance management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop teams, drive accountability, analyze performance metrics, implement corrective actions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with fleet management, telematics, transportation, maintenance, and other business systems / technology, including the ability to analyze performance data, support decision-making, and demonstrate mathematical proficiency.
