About this role
onX is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to design and build the services, APIs, and backend systems powering their Hunt product. You'll own technical solutions across the stack, work with distributed microservices, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, reliable outdoor exploration experiences.
What you'll do
- Design and build customer-facing Hunt experiences across mobile apps, APIs, backend services, and data systems
- Own technical solutions from design through delivery, making decisions on architecture, performance, scalability, and security
- Build and support large-scale systems, diagnose complex issues, and continuously improve systems in production
- Partner with Product, Design, QA, and cross-functional engineers to deliver cohesive experiences
- Write maintainable, well-tested code using unit, integration, and acceptance testing
- Review code, mentor engineers, and explore opportunities to embed AI into daily workflows
