AI Success Engineer - US Remote

About this role

OpenAI seeks an AI Success Engineer to serve as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers, guiding them through AI deployment, adoption, and value realization. You'll blend technical expertise with program management to help organizations scale AI solutions across their operations and drive measurable business impact.

What you'll do

• Lead post-sale technical relationships and act as trusted advisor on deployment and adoption strategy
• Own account health metrics, adoption velocity, and multi-workstream coordination across customer portfolio
• Conduct technical enablement, configuration sessions, and use case validation by embedding with customer teams
• Develop actionable adoption roadmaps with clear milestones, KPIs, and sequencing for strategic initiatives
• Bridge cross-functional teams (Solutions Architecture, Product, Research) by surfacing customer feedback and technical blockers
• Measure and guide value realization through baseline establishment, impact reporting, and expansion opportunity identification

What they're looking for

• Technical account management or enterprise adoption leadership (8+ years)
• Deep knowledge of OpenAI APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns
• Python or JavaScript coding experience with REST APIs and cloud platforms
• Enterprise security concepts (SSO, encryption, compliance frameworks like GDPR/HIPAA)
• Technical-to-business translation and strategic communication
• Workflow analysis and use case identification
• Program and project management across complex deployments
• Change management and cross-functional collaboration
