About this role

OpenAI seeks an AI Deployment Engineer to serve as a technical thought partner for enterprise customers, guiding them from AI strategy through production deployment of generative AI applications. You'll work with sophisticated platforms companies to build custom solutions using OpenAI APIs while collaborating across sales, product, and research teams.

What you'll do

  • Partner with enterprise customers to establish AI strategic roadmaps and identify high-value use cases for their business
  • Design and prototype AI applications leveraging OpenAI APIs, from concept validation through production deployment
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to accelerate customer time-to-value and maximize business impact
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure successful deployment and scaling of customer applications
  • Contribute feedback from customer deployments to internal product, engineering, and research teams
  • Scale the team by codifying best practices, publishing technical resources, and sharing institutional knowledge
