iOS Engineer, Ad Formats

About this role

OpenAI seeks an iOS Engineer to design and ship native ad format experiences on ChatGPT and the broader mobile ecosystem. You'll own the iOS infrastructure for rendering diverse ad types—from text and video to interactive and conversational—while ensuring privacy, performance, and user trust at global scale.

What you'll do

• Build and ship ad format experiences across text, image, video, native, conversational, and interactive surfaces on iOS
• Design and maintain shared iOS frameworks and primitives for ad rendering, creative presentation, and media handling
• Own complex iOS systems end-to-end including UI architecture, networking, persistence, performance optimization, and release processes
• Integrate with Apple platform components including media playback, deep links, accessibility, privacy controls, and device capabilities
• Establish testing and quality systems including unit, integration, snapshot, and automated regression workflows
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, backend, and Safety teams to deliver compliant, trustworthy ad experiences
