Manufacturing Test Engineer, AI Compute Infrastructure - Stargate

About this role

OpenAI's Stargate team seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop and deploy test strategies for large-scale AI infrastructure hardware. You'll own test system design, manufacturing validation, and quality assurance across global partners, ensuring hardware reliability and production readiness.

What you'll do

• Develop manufacturing test solutions and Design for Test (DFT) strategies with NPI and hardware teams
• Design, validate, and deploy test stations, fixtures, and automated test scripts for production testing
• Manage test operations for sustaining products, including software and firmware updates to test systems
• Identify and resolve manufacturing yield issues and field escapes through root cause analysis
• Lead initiatives to improve test coverage, reduce test time, and lower manufacturing costs
• Partner with global manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure consistent test execution
