OpenAI seeks a hands-on Physical Security Systems Engineer to support and maintain access control, video surveillance, and security operations infrastructure across global facilities. This role combines technical systems engineering, operational support, vendor coordination, and infrastructure partnership to ensure reliable, scalable security systems as the company expands.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot complex physical security system issues including access control, video management, and GSOC workflows
- Manage operational tickets, escalations, and root-cause analysis with thorough documentation
- Coordinate service requests and remediation work with security integrators and vendors
- Support system access management, auditing, programming, and security operations workflows
- Partner with IT and networking teams on VLANs, firewalls, IP schemas, and IoT device connectivity
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce manual operational work
