Software Engineer, Developer Productivity

About this role

Join OpenAI's Engineering Acceleration team to build developer productivity tools and infrastructure systems that power ChatGPT and our APIs. You'll design foundational systems, leverage AI to rethink engineering workflows, and partner across teams to reduce toil and increase velocity in a fast-growing organization.

What you'll do

• Design and build tools, systems, and processes that accelerate engineering velocity and improve output quality
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand workflows and translate their needs into technical solutions
• Leverage AI capabilities to reimagine developer productivity practices
• Partner with product engineers to establish technical foundations for new features and research
• Advise engineering teams on observability and scalability best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response
