Solutions Engineer, Financial Services

About this role

OpenAI seeks an experienced Solutions Engineer to partner with major Financial Services clients, guiding them through AI strategy and demonstrating how OpenAI's products deliver business value. You'll bridge technical and business teams during pre-sales, building demos, recommending architectures, and addressing security and compliance concerns.

What you'll do

• Deliver pre-sales technical expertise to large Financial Services prospects, explaining product capabilities and answering API/LLM questions
• Build and present demos, scope use cases, and recommend architecture patterns to address customer business needs
• Create documentation, guides, and FAQs for common questions and requirements
• Develop customer relationships throughout evaluation, validation, and purchasing phases
• Gather customer feedback and represent their voice to internal product and engineering teams
• Handle security and compliance inquiries, escalating complex requirements appropriately

• Pre-sales technical consulting (10+ years)
• Financial Services industry knowledge (3+ years)
• Python or Javascript programming
• Generative AI/ML solution prototyping
• Cloud and network architecture
• IT security and compliance understanding
• Executive communication and presentation
