About this role
Opto seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable solutions for private markets investing. You'll own full-stack features using Python, FastAPI, and AWS, working alongside experienced engineers to transform the alternative investments industry.
What you'll do
- Own delivery of high-quality software projects, coordinating timelines with teammates and stakeholders
- Contribute across product development phases: specification, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, and operations
- Design and implement REST APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Participate in engineering recruiting, interviewing, and role ownership
- Iterate rapidly on solutions to eliminate ambiguity and drive projects forward
- Support AI/LLM applications for data extraction and document generation
