Join Otter as a Backend Software Engineer, where you'll contribute to building an AI-driven platform that enhances restaurant marketing across delivery services. You will develop backend services, manage complex systems, and ensure the reliability of operations within a rapidly growing industry.

What you'll do

• Develop backend services for campaign management and budgeting
• Create the AI-driven Boost engine for marketing optimization
• Establish workflows for campaign orchestration and budget enforcement
• Integrate with third-party delivery platforms and manage external APIs
• Take full ownership of services, focusing on development and performance

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices
• Experience with API design (gRPC and/or REST)
• Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL or CockroachDB
• Strong debugging and reliability skills
• Collaborative mindset in production environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containers
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools or event-driven architectures
